Jeff Monson-Tony Sylvester at NAAFS 'Rock N Rumble 3'

Former UFC heavyweight title challenger Jeff Monson has signed to fight Tony Sylvester at North American Allied Fight Series' "Rock N Rumble 3" on August 29 in Cleveland, Ohio.

The highly active Monson (30-8) has emerged victorious in his last six fights, picking up wins over the likes of Mark Kerr, Ricco Rodriguez, Roy Nelson and Sergei Kharitonov.

Sylvester (11-2) of Canton, Ohio trains out of the Midwest Training Center in Chicago. He was an entrant in the YAMMA Pit Fighting single-night heavyweight tournament in April 2008 and exited in the first round against then undefeated Chris Tuchscherer. The loss, a one five-minute round, was the only time Sylvester has gone the distance.
